Myn is the gender nonspecific word that refers to any conscious organisms. It is an approximate synonym to our word "man" but also includes meanings of citizenship and integrity.  It is used when speaking to adults or as a term of respect.

There are many species on Shashnia which can be considered myn. Any of the animal provinces consist of myn-capable species. There are aslo some species where advanced individuals can be considered myn, though it is not broadly applied to all individuals in that species. This distinction is a result of an individual being more powerful in thought and magic which gives it a higher status. In parallel, species which are typically regarded as myn but individuals can lose that distinction if they are behaving on animalistic motives alone. 

Myns of any race are guaranteed basic civil rights and agreements, as established by the Nation they are from.

Demons are never willingly considered myn. Communities which are foolish enough to accept demons into their midst as citizens are considered feral by all others.  See Outcast Nations
