Shashnimyn spaceships

The life capsule is the first ship issued to any Shashnimyn, and doubles as their quarters and escape pod in many vessels. It is a self contained ecosystem that requires a myn to survive. The suite of micro-organisms and plants form a multi-trophic system that can recyle the wastes and provide minimal sustenance for a few weeks. It contains rudimentary gravity dampeners, communications devices, and AI for interfacing the pilot with an external ship.

Fighter concept for the Shashnimyn. It's mostly engines and weapons, the pilot is in the central area and the 'wings' are for energy collection and weapons casting. The engines can be moved in their angles independently of each other.

Spaceship development discussion
logistics (subject to revision/commentary)
Spaceships are a max of 187.5m in length for every point value of cost under the VBAM ruleset. This is larger than many spaceship scales but assumes that ships are mostly self-contained and in need of large space to house weaponry and engines necesary for intersystem transportation and naval warfare.
Weaponry is stylistically similar to animé-style weapons, with lots of missiles and lasers. Beam weapons are abundant, mainly because they produce less recoil and apply to a linear path rather than just a projectile. Missiles are guided which allows for long-range projectile combat to be effective, though chaff and monstrous flechettes are in use for armaments fired from a fast speed.
- Space battles tend to be one of two types:
- around a stationary object with the attacking side rushing in
- in deep space with no clear fixed objective, often at high speed movements
Large spaceships which sit still get exposed to a lot of shooting, especially from distances.
