Algal Clouds are formed by a low-density, highly-nutritious algae that floats in the upper atmosphere. Their floating is facilitated by their structural characteristics. A very small proportion have mutualisms with magic-using organisms to sustain their floating. All of their delicate shapes are designed for floating upon the air currents. Their form is actually a dynamic shape, sensing the coming weather
The clouds are pink, orange, reddish-brown, ochre, and occasionally purple. The algae is somewhat similar to the red algae groups of Earth.
The clouds are farmed and cultured by algae farmers, though they can also grow to a moderate size independently.
Weather spells cause disruption to the growth of algae clouds. They cannot adapt to the sudden unexpected changes, their magical abilities are for the long term. As generalists, they can take a lot of beating before being significantly harmed for future growth, but each season is likely to suffer a decrease.
