Demonology is the study of the entities which are invading Shashnia.  This focuses on the types which cause myn harm, but technically includes the study of all things alien to the planet.

Demonologists are those who devote their lives to understanding Demons.  These are often individuals involved in their destruction, regular combat or tracking.  The South Walls have the greatest concentration of Demonologists.  Small groups act as roaming or stationary hunters.

Demons are generally dealt with by repulsion or attack.  Repulsion can be a result of energies which they cannot harvest, a weakness to substance or spell type, or just a very high level of positive shared magic.  Attack is a preferred way of many, since the Demons themselves tend to be violent and destructive.

Humans and Positive spirits are politely considered not to be under the umbrella of Demonology.
