Magicka

Magicka is a taxonomic group that is distinguished by the use of magical control through the mutualistic incorporation of magickophores into their cells. This is the version that is comparable to mitochondria and chloroplasts. In contrast, it is not as stable a relationship as those incorporation of other cell nuclei as a self-contained organelle.  Instead, there is an organ system similar to lymph, which aggregates magickophores at nerve endings.

The other taxa, the Supramagicka was where the magickophores came from, and they have a much more efficient use of magical energy. To the point where they can survive on magic respiration alone, such as the algae clouds.
